How to reduce a size of the exported drawings?
When you export a 2D drawing to graphics formats (e.g. JPG or TIF) with default CATIA settings, size of the file is unacceptably large. For example an A0 ISO format drawing saved as a TIF generates over 100MB file. The reason is that CATIA exports drawings without compression. To change it go to Tools®Options...®Compability in a Graphics Formats tab select Raster (1), then Configuration...(2), in an Advanced Configuration window select Compression: HUFFMAN (3).
A 2D drawing exported to a graphic format with this settings is significantly lighter, depends on complexity of the drawing, size of the file might be even 1000x smaller.
