Filleting draft


Two ways of filleting, what is the difference, which one is better?

It is usually a good practice, to fillet an edge after drafting, not before. As you can see on the Fig.1 result of a draft on a filleted edge is not cylindrical. In the second case an drafted geometry was filleted, the result is a cylindrical surface. A second way of filleting is usually more useful for a downstream user and it is easier to be measured and dimensioned.
