It is allways a good practice to reduce number of BREPs you use in your design, in a perfect situation to zero. If a variable fillet is created in a way described below, number of the BREPs might be significatly decreased.
To create a variable fillet, an edge to be filleted and control points to control variation are normally needed. In this method, default Points On Edge (BREPs) are replaced by intersection points.
1. When a Trim is created make sure that Intersection computation option is selected, see Fig.1. An intersection of trimmed elements has been created and aggregated by Trim.

4. Variation points can be now precisely controlled and what is more important they are not BREPs.
